1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PhishPop ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Alquimia Studio ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
PhishPop is a mobile security application that provides automated analysis of potentially malicious content including:
- Text messages and email content
- URLs and web links
- QR codes
- WiFi network security information
The App provides risk assessments, confidence scores, and educational resources to help users identify potential phishing attempts and digital threats.
3. Subscription Terms
3.1 Subscription Plans and Pricing
PhishPop offers the following subscription plans:
Monthly Premium Plan
- Price: $9.99 USD per month
- Duration: 30 days
- Automatic renewal: Every 30 days unless cancelled
Annual Premium Plan
- Price: $79.99 USD per year (regularly $108.99 - save 33%)
- Duration: 365 days (1 year)
- Automatic renewal: Every 365 days unless cancelled
Prices may vary by region and are subject to applicable taxes. All prices displayed are in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified for your region.
3.2 Free Plan Features and Limitations
The free version of PhishPop includes:
Scan Limits:
- 7 combined scans per month (includes Text Scan, URL Scan, and QR URL Scan)
- Scan quota resets on the 1st day of each month at 12:00 AM UTC
- Unlimited QR WiFi scans (does not count toward monthly limit as it does not use API)
History and Data:
- Access to last 3 scan results only (out of 50 stored on device)
- Cannot delete scan history
- Cannot delete metrics history
Metrics and Statistics:
- 4 basic metrics: Total Scans, Threats Detected, Protection Rate, Last Activity
- Limited statistics dashboard
Safe Parents Tools:
- Full access to: Scam Library, Decision Helper, Family Mode, Quick Report
3.3 Premium Plan Features
Premium subscribers receive:
Enhanced Scan Limits:
- 360 text message scans per month
- 360 URL/link analysis per month
- 300 QR code URL scans per month
- Unlimited QR WiFi scans
- Monthly limits reset on the 1st day of each month at 12:00 AM UTC
Full History Access:
- View last 50 scan results
- Ability to clear/delete scan history
- Export scan reports (if available)
Complete Metrics:
- All 8 metrics including: Total Scans, Threats Detected, Protection Rate, Last Activity, Confidence Score, Security Classification, Scan Type Distribution, Top Security Issues
- Ability to delete metrics history
- Advanced analytics dashboard
Safe Parents Tools:
- Full access to all tools: Scam Library, Decision Helper, Family Mode, Quick Report
Priority Support:
- Faster response times for customer support inquiries
3.4 Subscription Management
Auto-Renewal:
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price you initially paid, unless we notify you of a price change in advance.
Cancellation:
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Premium access until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds will be provided for unused time in the current billing cycle.
How to Cancel:
- iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > PhishPop > Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > PhishPop > Cancel Subscription
Refunds:
Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies. Generally, payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as determined by the respective app store. To request a refund:
- iOS: Contact Apple Support at https://support.apple.com or through reportaproblem.apple.com
- Android: Contact Google Play Support or request through the Play Store app
We do not process refunds directly. All refund requests must go through your respective app store.
Restoring Purchases:
If you previously purchased a Premium subscription, you can restore your purchase on any device by:
- Using the "Restore Purchase" button in the App's pricing screen
- Signing in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase
- Your subscription status will be automatically verified and restored
Subscription After Cancellation:
When your subscription expires or is cancelled:
- Your account automatically converts to the Free plan
- Your data is NOT deleted - all scan history remains on your device
- Free plan limitations apply (7 scans/month, last 3 history entries visible, 4 metrics)
- You can resubscribe at any time to regain full Premium access
Price Changes:
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days advance notice. Price changes will not affect existing subscribers until their next renewal period. You will be notified of price changes through:
- In-app notification
- Email notification (if you provided an email)
- App Store notification (managed by Apple/Google)
If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
Free Trials (If Offered):
If a free trial is offered at the time of subscription:
- Trial duration will be clearly displayed before purchase
- You will not be charged during the trial period
- Your subscription will automatically begin and billing will start at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before trial expiration
- You can cancel anytime during the trial through your app store account to avoid charges
- Only one free trial per user/account
3.5 Payment Processing
All payments are processed through:
- Apple App Store (for iOS users) - subject to Apple's Terms of Service
- Google Play Store (for Android users) - subject to Google's Terms of Service
- RevenueCat (subscription management platform) - https://www.revenuecat.com/terms
We do NOT store or process your payment information directly. All payment data is handled securely by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
4. Educational and Informational Purpose
IMPORTANT: PhishPop is provided for educational and informational purposes only. The App:
- Does NOT provide professional security advice or guarantees
- Does NOT replace professional cybersecurity consultation
- Should NOT be relied upon as the sole method for security decisions
- May produce false positives or false negatives in its analysis
5. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability
5.1 No Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of analysis results
- Warranties that the App will detect all threats or prevent all security incidents
5.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
- WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SECURITY BREACHES, IDENTITY THEFT, FINANCIAL LOSSES, OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM PHISHING ATTACKS
- WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON THE APP'S ANALYSIS OR RECOMMENDATIONS
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS LESS
6. User Responsibilities
6.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Exercise your own judgment and caution when making security decisions
- Verify critical information through additional sources
- Report suspected security incidents to appropriate authorities
6.2 Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems or bots to access the App
- Attempt to overload, disable, or impair the App's functionality
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the App to harm, harass, or violate the rights of others
- Upload malicious content or malware to the App
- Bypass any security measures or access restrictions
7. Analysis Accuracy Disclaimer
PhishPop uses automated algorithms and third-party services to analyze potential threats. However:
- Analysis results are probabilistic and may not be 100% accurate
- The App may fail to detect sophisticated or novel phishing attempts
- The App may incorrectly flag legitimate content as suspicious
- Threat detection capabilities depend on available data and algorithms at the time of analysis
- New phishing techniques may not be immediately detectable
YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP AND ANY DECISIONS MADE BASED ON ITS ANALYSIS.
8. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including:
- Firebase (authentication, analytics)
- Google Sign-In
- Apple Sign-In
- GitHub OAuth
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Backend API services for threat analysis
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services.
9. Data and Privacy
9.1 Data Collection
We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy, including:
- Account information (email, name, authentication data)
- Content submitted for analysis (URLs, text, QR codes, WiFi data)
- Scan history and analysis results
- Usage statistics and preferences
9.2 Data Storage
- Scan history is stored locally on your device only using encrypted SQLite databases
- The App maintains a rolling history of your last 50 scans on your device
- Account authentication data is stored securely using Firebase services
- Content you scan (URLs, messages, QR codes) is NOT stored on our servers
9.3 Data Deletion
You may request complete deletion of your account and associated data through the App's settings. Upon deletion:
- All local data (scan history, metrics) will be permanently and immediately removed from your device
- Your account authentication data will be deleted from Firebase within 24 hours
- Active subscriptions should be cancelled separately through your app store (we cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf)
- Subscription transaction records will be retained by Apple/Google/RevenueCat for 7 years as required by tax and legal compliance

10. Intellectual Property
The App and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by Alquimia Studio and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App without authorization
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without permission
- Create derivative works based on the App
- Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices
11. Safe Parent Mode
The Safe Parent Mode feature allows users to:
- Add up to 3 trusted contacts
- Send emergency "Call Me" SMS messages
- Access educational scam resources
- Use decision helpers for suspicious situations
Disclaimer: This feature is a communication tool only and does not provide emergency services. For immediate emergencies, contact local emergency services directly (911 in the U.S., 911 in Canada, or your local emergency number).
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account through the App settings
- Uninstalling the App from your device
- Contacting us at andres@andressaumet.com
Important: Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through your app store to avoid future charges.
12.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately, without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- You misuse or abuse the App
- Required by law or regulation
If we terminate your account for violation of Terms, you will not be entitled to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alquimia Studio, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Any security incidents resulting from your reliance on the App
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Posting a notice in the App
- Sending an email notification (if applicable)
Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the App and cancel your subscription (if applicable).
15. Geographic Restrictions
The App is available worldwide but is primarily intended for users in the United States, Canada, and the European Union. We make no representation that the App is appropriate or available for use in other locations. Users accessing the App from jurisdictions where its use is illegal or restricted are prohibited from doing so. By using the App, you represent that you are located in a jurisdiction where use of the App is lawful.
16. Dispute Resolution
16.1 Governing Law
For Users in the United States: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
For Users in Canada: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
For Users in the European Union: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of your country of residence, in accordance with EU consumer protection regulations.
16.2 Arbitration (United States Users)
For users located in the United States, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Delaware, United States, or remotely via video conference. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial.
16.3 Dispute Resolution (Canadian Users)
For users located in Canada, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Ontario. The arbitration shall take place in Ontario, Canada, or remotely via video conference.
16.4 Class Action Waiver
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits, class-wide arbitrations, or any other representative or consolidated proceedings. This waiver applies to both U.S. and Canadian users, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
16.5 Exceptions
Nothing in this section shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. Additionally, if the arbitration clause is found unenforceable, disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts as described below:
- U.S. Users: Courts located in the State of Delaware
- Canadian Users: Courts located in the Province of Ontario
- EU Users: Courts of your country of residence
17. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, or pandemics
- War, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Government actions or regulations
- Internet service disruptions
- Third-party service failures (Firebase, RevenueCat, app stores)
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Alquimia Studio regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

21. Acknowledgment
BY USING PHISHPOP, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:
- You have read and understood these Terms
- You agree to be bound by these Terms
- You understand the App's limitations and disclaimers
- You accept all risks associated with using the App
- You will not hold us liable for security incidents or damages
- You understand the subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation policies
- You understand that subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before renewal
